Take your creative learning to a new level with Dubai Lynx and the Berlin School of Creative Leadership

All Dubai Lynx 2010 Gold and Grand Prix winners have the opportunity to qualify for a €20,000 bursary to attend the Berlin School of Creative Leadership global Executive MBA in Creative Leadership programme, starting in September 2010 in Berlin.

What is the programme?
The Executive MBA in Creative Leadership programme is an accredited, flexible part-time global executive management degree programme designed to help leading creative professionals in advertising, design, entertainment, marketing and publishing run their business more effectively.

Advanced courses in strategy, leadership, finance, human resources, innovation and other relevant topics for successfully managing creative enterprises are taught by leading academics in business management as well as celebrated practitioners from the creative industries.

The programme consists of five separate, two-week modules - three of which take place in Berlin, along with one in the United States and one in Asia. Following the starting module in Berlin, participants are able to design their own programme schedule to complete the remaining four programme modules and degree requirements within 12 to 24 months.

The next EMBA programme starts on 5 September 2010 in Berlin. For more information, visit: www.berlin-school.com/programs/executive-mba.

What are the programme requirements?
The basic programme requirements for the Berlin School's EMBA include a BA-equivalent degree and at least five years of professional experience, ideally in a leadership position. Eligible candidates must complete a short application form and submit an updated copy of their CV.

The main selection criterion is a one-page thesis research proposal, which outlines a topic to be examined over the duration of the EMBA programme. Ideally the topic should examine new and innovative ways to refresh, provoke and renew communication practices in the fields of advertising, design, entertainment, marketing and publishing. This can relate directly to individuals’ professional work experience or their personal interest and ideas.

What is the Dubai Lynx scholarship?
The Dubai Lynx scholarship was established to support experienced creative professionals who demonstrate strong creative leadership abilities. The winner will receive a bursary covering €20,000 of the full programme tuition (€48,500) for the Berlin School’s global Executive MBA in Creative Leadership programme.

Second place will receive the opportunity to attend one free Berlin School of Creative Leadership Executive MBA programme module in Berlin. The scholarship does not cover travel or accommodation cost, is not transferable and cannot be paid out in cash.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?
Any creative director whose work is awarded Gold or Grand Prix at Dubai Lynx 2010 will be eligible to apply for the scholarship. There is only one scholarship awarded per festival and it cannot be transferred beyond the members of a winning creative team at the Festival.

How does the selection process work?
Within one month following the official Dubai Lynx 2010 Awards Ceremony, eligible Gold and Grand Prix winners should submit their application directly to the Berlin School at application@berlin-school.com.

A panel of judges from within the Berlin School will review each submission and award the scholarship to the individual with the most engaging thesis research proposal and overall application.

Judges will look for clarity of idea and a strong desire from candidates to take their career to the next level when deciding on whom to bestow the scholarship award.

Scholarship winners will be announced by 15 April 2010.
