Are the Dubai Lynx 2020 Awards still happening?

Yes! The work that would have been judged in 2020 will now be judged at the 2021 festival. 

We will re-open on 10 November this year for both 2020 and 2021 entries. The final deadline for entries is 3 February 2021.

When is the next edition of Dubai Lynx?

The next edition of the Dubai Lynx Awards will take place 10 March 2021, when we look forward to welcoming back the region’s top brands and the creative industries to celebrate the best creativity from the region.

Are you still accepting entries?

We are currently closed to entries but will re-open on 10 November 2020. The final deadline for entries is 3 February 2021.

You can enter either ‘2020 work’ or ‘2021 work’ when we are open during the above periods, up until the final deadline in February 2021.

How will you separate work for each year’s Awards? What are the eligibility dates for each year’s work?

The work eligible for each year’s festival will be judged separately. 

Work for the 2020 eligibility period: implemented for the first time between 1 February 2019 – 29 February 2020. Referred to as ‘2020 work’. 

Work for the 2021 eligibility period: implemented for the first time between 1 March 2020 – 14 February 2021. Referred to as ‘2021 work’. 

For certain Lynx Awards, the eligibility period is slightly different and these details can be found on our Dates & Fees page when we re-open in November.

Will the work from 2020 and 2021 be judged by the same jury?

Yes, the same jury will judge both years’ work, but in separate sessions. 

I have already submitted my entries, what happens next?

Your entries will be judged at Dubai Lynx 2021.

If you would like to amend or change your entry, please email by 15 October 2020 with your entry number, entry title and further explanation.

Will work from 2020 be judged against work from 2021?

Work from the 2020 eligibility period (1 February 2019 – 29 February 2020) will be judged in separate sessions from work from the 2021 eligibility period (1 March 2020 – 14 February 2021).

Will there be any changes to the Lynx Awards and categories in 2021?

We may add new categories when we re-open in November 2020. We do not intend to remove any categories from the current category list.

I have submitted physical supporting material already, what will happen to it?

If you have already sent materials for your entries then we will store them in preparation for judging at Dubai Lynx 2021.

If you choose to withdraw your entry, we will recycle your entry materials where possible.

What are the new deadlines?

The new 2021 deadlines are below:

Entries open: 10 November 2020

First late fee applies: After 16 December 2020

Second late fee applies: After 20 January 2021

Final deadline: 3 February 2021

Entry Process FAQs

Is my work eligible for Dubai Lynx?

The entry must have been created within the context of a normal paying contract and genuine brief from a brand OR, if it’s a case of self-promotion or a non-profit organisation, the brand has approved all the media / production / implementation. More information on our Rules page when we reopen in November.

How do I choose where to enter and find out more about the entry process?

Where can I find the material guidelines or media specifications?

The Supporting Material Guidelines can be found in Entry Kit 1.

Can I pay first and upload material later?

All media included in your entry must be the final version at the point that you complete and pay for them. No replacement or additional media can be accepted after an entry has been finalised and received by the Festival without exception.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Credit Card and Bank Transfer Payments.

If you wish to change your payment method after you have submitted your entries, please get in touch with our Awards Experts for more information.

Does the entry fee cover all my entries?

The entry fee is charged per individual entry, i.e. one piece of work entered in a single category.

The fees per Lynx Award differ, you can check the fees on our Dates & Fees page. 

I have submitted my entries, what happens next?

After submission, each entry is reviewed by our Awards experts before it is presented to the Jury.

Please make sure that the Entry Contact is ready to be contacted by our team if we have any need for clarification about your entry.

Can I withdraw my entry? 

To request a withdrawal, please email with your entry number and title.

When do I find out if I’ve won?

Shortlists will be announced on 

Winners are announced at the Festival Award Show on 10 March 2021 and will appear online thereafter.
