Biography
Malek has 35 years of communications experience, including more than 32 years with Leo Burnett. He heads, on a creative level, the Levant region for Publicis Communication and Procter & Gamble’s Global Hub.
He is known as someone who puts his best efforts, with his teams, into giving a human and insightful voice to MENA Advertising, while pushing the limits of creative excellence.
As a result, Leo Burnett Beirut has constantly been across the years the most awarded Beirut-based agency in the world and was the first Lebanese ad agency to ever be ranked among the top 10 agencies in the world in 2013 and number 5 in 2016.
Malek has a very strong understanding of his target audiences due to his extensive knowledge of several industries FMCG, telecom, cars, food, and Banking. He launched in the region most of the big Telco names like Saudi Telecom or du. He also handled for several years brands like General Motors, Emirates and McDonald’s for the MENA Region.
Since the start of his career, Malek has received prestigious awards and recognitions from Cannes Lions, Dubai Lynx, Epica, Cresta, One Show, Clio, D&AD, LIA, Adfest, Golden Drums, New York Festival, European Cristal, Loeries awards …Mostly awarded to integrated campaigns that engaged large audiences and helped change the way people think and feel. According to the Big Won Report, he was ranked the most awarded Executive Creative Director in the world for the year 2015.
