Father of Clara and Mateus, Fabio Santos is the CEO of CDN Comunicação, one of Brazil’s ten largest PR and corporate communications firms. For 20 years, he worked as a journalist in some of the country’s leading newsrooms. He launched and directed the newspaper Destak for six years and served as editor of the magazine and website Primeira Leitura, as well as executive editor of República magazine. He was also a political reporter for O Globo and held several positions at Folha de S.Paulo.

A crisis-management and strategic planning specialist, he served as Vice President for Public Accounts at CDN until 2016, leading teams for the Public Security Secretariat, Sabesp, the Office of the President’s Communications Secretariat, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Culture, among others. He left the position to become Communications Secretary for the City of São Paulo from 2017 to 2019, under mayors João Doria and Bruno Covas.

He holds a degree in journalism from ECA-USP, an MBA in Business Management from FGV, and a specialization in Political Science from FFLCH-USP. He was a Reuters Foundation Fellow at the University of Oxford.
