Biography

Laurence (‘Lolly’) Thomson is Joint Global CCO of M+C Saatchi – the world’s largest independent creative network, spanning 6 regions and 26 countries.

Lolly (& long-term creative partner Rob Doubal) joined M+C in 2024 to lead its next chapter of creative transformation. The appointment followed stints at hotshops Mother and W+K, and latterly McCann London, where they were instrumental in turning around McCann’s creative prowess and making the UK an unrivalled hub of advertising excellence – elevating the company from unranked outlier to the #1 UK Creative Agency (Cannes), #3 on the WARC Creative 100, and #6 on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list.

Known for work that shifts culture and fuels business growth, Rob & Lolly have created some of the world’s most awarded campaigns, such as global phenom ‘Everyday Tactician’ amongst others, amassing 1100+ awards from major international shows and 150+ Lions including Titanium & several Grand Prix.

Proud creator of work that moves culture, grows brand and delivers impact, Lolly believes pure creativity is amongst the most precious human commodities on the planet. Mentor, panellist, juror, and regular contributor of industry commentary, he thirsts for inspiration and strives for excellence and inclusion. He’s also a dad to two beautiful girls.
