Student Competitions Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions

  1. Students / Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions once they register for this competition.

  2. Students / Entrants declare that they are not currently or previously employed with any organisation on a full time or part time basis. Competition is strictly restricted to full-time Undergraduate University Students studying Advertising, Media, or relevant creative fields.

  3. Dubai Lynx reserves the right to cancel the application of the Students / Entrants if they are found in breach of any of the terms and conditions /eligibility criteria of this competition.

  4. Students / Entrants also agree and permit that their images/videos can be taken during their participation and can be featured on Dubai Lynx website. Students / Entrants expressly release Dubai Lynx against any and all claims arising out of the consent herein granted.

  5. Dubai Lynx decision about any aspect of the competition is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

  6. Dubai Lynx reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.

  7. The competition will be governed by UAE law and Students / Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of UAE courts.


Cover Competition Rules and Eligibility

The Student Cover Competition is open to university students in full-time education, from ages 18-25 years of age.

All entrants must create a Print Campaign answering the brief, which has been announced and will close 17 January 2024.

The countries eligible to enter include:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Ghana, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Kenya, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, UAE, West Bank & Gaza, Western Sahara, Yemen.


Required documents

1. To complete your entry, you will need to upload the following:

One Presentation board (JPG) - MANDATORY/li>

Supporting Material – OPTIONAL

Required format

JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF

327(h) x 240(w)

Please add 10mm bleed and crop marks across all sides.

Entry must include the Campaign ME masthead

Your entry can include English OR Arabic.

Please ensure you read the brief in full as this outlines all guidelines and material to be provided.

2. Also upload ONE Form of ID (Age verification)

This can be either passport copy, driving license or student ID.


Other Instructions

Only individual entry submissions are allowed (Team based entries will not be accepted)

Please ensure you upload all the necessary documents.

Failure to do so may result in your entry not being accepted.

Students must be enrolled full-time in an Undergraduate university programme and not a part of any corporation

Students be in Advertising, Media, Communications, or relevant fields to qualify for the Student Competitions

No entries will be accepted via any method except the student entry portal and must be entered before the deadline date.

Students may enter multiple entries, if the campaigns are of a different concept/idea.

All work created as part of the competition remains the property of the Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity and the ideas can be used by the “Client” as part of their advertising/marketing.


The work will be judged by the Competition Jury in January 2024. Shortlists will be announced in February 2024 and the winner will be announced in March 2024.


Integrated Competition Rules and Eligibility

All entrants must create an Integrated Campaign answering the brief, which has been announced and will close 17 January 2024.
